Core Process Parameters
Curing Conditions: Utilizes a UVA band ultraviolet light source with an irradiation energy of 800~1200 mJ/cm². Complete curing occurs in 3~8 seconds at room temperature, requiring no hot air baking and allowing for prolonged natural drying. It is compatible with automated pipeline prefabrication production lines, effectively increasing single-line capacity by more than 3 times.
Construction Environment: Operating temperature range 5~35℃. The entire process is carried out at room temperature, without altering the metallographic structure and mechanical properties of Q355 series low-temperature low-alloy steel or ordinary carbon steel. There is no risk of heat damage to the substrate.
Performance Indicators and Measured Data: The dry film thickness of the coating is typically controlled between 40 and 80 μm, achieving a grade 0 in the cross-cut adhesion test; abrasion resistance (sand drop test) shows an abrasion amount ≤ 0.3g; acid and alkali resistance tests: immersion in 5% sulfuric acid and 5% sodium hydroxide solutions for 1000 hours shows no blistering, peeling, or discoloration. Based on accelerated aging tests of outdoor pipelines, the overall effective protective lifespan is estimated to be **≥20 years**.
UV-cured coating products are compatible with carbon steel and Q355 low-temperature low-alloy steel pipes, primarily used in oil and gas transmission branch lines, municipal water supply and drainage networks, steel pipe fitting joint repair, and pipeline damage repair.
Advantages:
Traditional coatings rely on high-temperature extrusion and winding processes, only suitable for large-scale prefabrication of entire pipes, and cannot flexibly address localized repairs. UV-cured coating offers flexible application options, enabling both overall anti-corrosion coating of straight pipes and irregularly shaped fittings, as well as targeted repairs of pipe joints and localized damage. It is also compatible with on-site maintenance of existing 2PE/3PE anti-corrosion pipelines, making it a dual-purpose anti-corrosion solution for factory prefabrication and on-site maintenance.
Compared to mainstream traditional 2PE/3PE anti-corrosion coatings, this UV-cured coating demonstrates a significant advantage in adaptability. Traditional coatings rely on high-temperature extrusion and winding processes, suitable only for mass prefabrication of entire pipes, and completely ineffective for piecemeal operations such as fitting joint repairs and localized damage repairs. In contrast, it combines comprehensive coating with localized repair, providing overall anti-corrosion for straight pipes and irregularly shaped fittings, precisely addressing pipe joint repairs and localized damage, and adapting to on-site maintenance of existing 2PE/3PE pipelines, achieving dual-purpose use for factory prefabrication and on-site maintenance.
In summary, this UV-cured pipeline anti-corrosion coating overcomes the shortcomings of traditional anti-corrosion processes, such as low efficiency, inflexibility, and strong limitations. UV-cured coating is not only environmentally friendly, easy to apply, and quick to form, but also provides robust corrosion protection, a long service life, and is suitable for various pipeline construction and maintenance scenarios. For pipeline engineering, it can reduce costs and increase efficiency while ensuring long-term corrosion protection quality. Whether for new pipeline projects or the maintenance and repair of old pipelines, it is a high-quality corrosion protection solution with excellent cost performance and maximum practicality, and it is also the mainstream direction for the future upgrading of the pipeline corrosion protection industry.
