High building structural pipes can be categorized as follows based on their material and application:

Non-alloy structural steel: Yield strength ≥ 235 MPa. Key features include good ductility, ease of welding, and low cost. They are used for support in low-rise and high-rise buildings.

Fine-grain structural steel: Yield strength ≥ 355 MPa. Key features include an excellent balance of strength and toughness, with an impact energy of ≥ 34J at -20°C/-40°C. They are used for frame columns and beams in mid- and high-rise buildings.

High-strength structural steel: Yield strength ≥ 420/460 MPa. These steels offer exceptional strength and fatigue resistance, and are used for core support in high-rise buildings ≥ 100 meters tall.

Stainless steel: Stainless steel high building structural pipes are primarily used in specialized applications due to their exceptional corrosion resistance. They are suitable for coastal environments with high salt spray. Yield strength ≥ 205 MPa. Available materials include 304 or 316L.
