EFW pipes refers to electric fusion welding pipeline, which melts the pipe material to form a weld by heating with electric current, realizing seamless connection of materials. This production process has a smooth inner wall, which can reduce fluid resistance and is superior to traditional butt welding process. It has strong sealing performance and uniform molten layer, ensuring overall sealing performance. Automated production ensures that the weld width is precisely controlled at 1.1-1.3 times the thickness of the pipe wall. It is mainly suitable for the manufacture of polyethylene (PE) pipes and metal pipes. Especially for energy transmission systems, natural gas, chemical media, working pressure range 0.6-1.6MPa, urban water supply network, when used in industry, it can support underground structures and ventilation systems.

EFW pipes must be inspected during construction, mainly in the following aspects:
Welding control: current intensity and heating time must match the material, according to the process specifications;
Pressure test: water pressure test pressure ≥ 1.5 times the working pressure, pressure maintenance ≥ 30 minutes, can only be used if it meets the requirements;
Environmental management: PE pipes are stored away from light, metal pipes are moisture-proof, and low-temperature construction requires preheating, according to storage and construction specifications;
Qualification certification: The equipment must hold a special equipment manufacturing license, and special operations are required in special scenarios.

How to store EFW pipes correctly? When storing, you must strictly follow the material characteristics and process specifications, and pay attention to the following points:
Environmental control: To achieve wall light moisture-proof, metal pipes need to be moisture-proof, and the storage environment temperature should be maintained at 5°C~40°C to avoid high temperature accelerated aging or low temperature embrittlement;
Physical protection: It is forbidden to stack too high, stay away from corrosive substances, and prevent damage to the surface of the pipe;
Timeliness management: It is recommended not to exceed 1 year from production to use. If it exceeds 1 year, it is recommended to re-sample and inspect, and it can only be used after passing the test.
Since efw pipes are made of different materials, including carbon steel, alloy steel, and low-temperature steel, their sizes vary, including nominal diameters of DN50, DN100, DN300, and DN500, and wall thickness can also be customized according to demand. When storing, storage plans should also be made according to specific products.
